What psst.party is
psst.party is a community event planning tool. It is not a company or a startup. It is
built and maintained by an individual for use by a small community.
What we collect
- Phone number — used to sign in and receive event
notifications via SMS. We detect your carrier type during verification to ensure
reliable delivery.
- Display name — optional. Shown to other guests on
events you RSVP to.
- Event content — event details, RSVP status, and
comments you create.
- Session cookie — a single cookie that keeps you
signed in. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies.
How we use your data
- Phone numbers authenticate your account and deliver SMS notifications you've opted into by RSVPing.
- Event and RSVP data powers the features you use — guest lists, comments, notifications.
- SMS delivery logs help us troubleshoot failed messages.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We don't use analytics or tracking scripts.
- We don't share your phone number with other users — they see your display name, not your number.
Data retention
Your account and data persist as long as your account exists. There is no automated
deletion yet — if you want your data removed, contact us and we will handle it manually.
